	About this Website	This website was initiated in July of 2004 by the Viticulture Research Program located at the Mid-Florida Research and Education Center. We are a division of the University of Florida’s Institute for Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) and site of an historic grape research program, which began at UF in 1891. Within this website, you will find select information created by UF/IFAS to provide assistance to those interested in growing grapes in Florida. Some key information was published before the internet became common; these have been recreated for online access. Other information was created anew for this site. Among the categories available are the following: 1) Current news & developments from UF/IFAS research, 2) Online publications deemed to be of use to growers, 3) Descriptive diagrams that detail trellis construction, plant propagation and pruning, 4) A listing of additional websites for grape growers.
