The University Of Florida College Of Pharmacy Orlando Campus is located in Apopka, Florida at the University of Florida Mid-Florida Research and Education Center. The Mid-Florida Research and Education Center (MREC), part of the University of Florida's Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) was originally established as the Central Florida Research & Education Center (CFREC) in the fall of 1986 by administratively combining research centers at Apopka, Leesburg and Sanford. The three units now occupy a new multi-million dollar research and education facility on land next to the old Apopka center. The facility offers students access to labs, classrooms, an auditorium and a library. The Orlando Campus student body has now grown to about 224 students and serves all four years of the Professional Pharm.D. Program. |
